This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report represents the fourth edition of the study on the lignosulfonate market in Russia.

The objective of the study is to analyze the Russian market for technical lignosulfonates.

The study focuses on technical lignosulfonates (LST)—both in liquid and powder forms—as well as products derived from their processing.

This work is a desk-based study. Information sources included data from EAEU statistical agencies (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases such as UNdata, the World Bank, and Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); data from the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (up to 2022), the Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement, and railway transport statistics; the SBIS database; data from specialized foreign companies; annual and quarterly reports from securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, and the websites of manufacturers and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (eLibrary, etc.); the FIPS patent database; the "Infomine" database; and company websites.

The study covers the period from 2011 to 2025, with estimates for 2026 and forecasts for 2027–2030.

Geographic scope: Russian Federation (comprehensive, detailed market analysis).

The report consists of 6 parts and comprises 155 pages, including 53 tables, 25 figures, and 3 appendices.

The first chapter describes lignosulfonate production technology, outlines product quality requirements, and details the application areas and derivative products of LST.

The second chapter of the report focuses on the production of lignosulfonates in Russia. This section presents production volumes by Russian enterprises for the period 2011–2026 and profiles the key lignosulfonate manufacturers. It also assesses the production of lignosulfonate-derived products in the Russian Federation and describes the main processing enterprises.

The third chapter analyzes Russia's foreign trade in lignosulfonates and their derivatives from 2011 to 2025. It presents data on export and import volumes and evaluates the product and regional structure of shipments.

The fourth chapter is dedicated to price analysis. This section reviews export prices for lignosulfonates and their derivatives (2011–2025) and domestic market prices for lignosulfonates (2020–2026).

The fifth chapter covers lignosulfonate consumption and presents the production-consumption balance for these products in Russia. It also outlines the consumption structure by industry and describes the key application sectors and major consumer enterprises.

The sixth chapter forecasts the development of the Russian lignosulfonate market for the period 2026–2030. This section examines and evaluates the key factors shaping the current state and future development of the market in the Russian Federation through 2030.

The appendices provide contact details for Russian lignosulfonate manufacturers, processors, and consumers.

Target audience:

- lignosulfonate market participants (manufacturers, consumers, and traders);

- potential investors.

The proposed study is intended to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and management decision-makers operating in the pulp and paper industry.
