This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.
This report is based on research into the oil refining catalyst market in Russia, the EAEU countries, and globally.
The objective of the study is to analyze the Russian oil refining catalyst market and the market in the EAEU and globally.
The object of the study is catalysts for catalytic cracking and hydroprocessing (hydrotreating, hydrodesulfurization, hydrocracking, hydrodewaxing, reforming, and isomerization).
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, and Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); the Unified Information System for Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of manufacturers and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.
Research timeframe: 2006-2024; estimate/forecast – 2025-2035.
Research geography: Russia, other EAEU countries (Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan), and worldwide.
This review is the most comprehensive available on the information market on this topic and is intended to serve as a reference guide, replacing data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation. Due to changes in the nomenclature of statistical reporting, the FSSS data contains incomplete information on catalyst production. Using this data without further thorough analysis may lead to erroneous management decisions by marketing departments and specialists working in the oil refining catalyst market. A distinctive feature of this study is its comprehensive analysis of the oil refining catalyst market, thereby avoiding the mistakes made by similar studies conducted by other companies.
A second distinguishing feature of this work is its broad timeframe—it provides a detailed analysis of production and foreign trade transactions involving oil refining catalysts from 2006 to 2025.
A third distinctive feature is the inclusion of the markets of the EAEU countries in the study.
Scope of the study: The report consists of 9 parts and contains 218 pages, including 75 tables, 49 figures, and 12 appendices.
The first chapter describes the classification of oil refining catalysts and identifies the main areas of application of catalytic processes in oil refining.
The second chapter contains a brief description of the global oil refining catalyst market.
The third chapter provides a comprehensive list of oil refining catalysts produced in Russia and their brief characteristics. A review of the main raw materials required for the production of the products under consideration is also provided. The chapter also contains information on oil refining catalyst production capacity in Russia. It also provides statistical and estimated data on catalyst production volumes in Russia from 2006-2025, and identifies the structure of their production by type. It also provides an overview of Russian manufacturing companies, as well as organizations engaged in the development and implementation of oil refining catalysts.
Chapter 4 analyzes Russia's foreign trade operations with oil refining catalysts from 2006-2025. This chapter also provides information on the level of export and import prices for various types of oil refining catalysts from 2006-2025 (cracking, hydrotreating, hydrocracking, reforming, and isomerization).
Chapter 5 analyzes import operations of other EAEU countries with oil refining catalysts by type from 2009-2024. Furthermore, the chapter presents average import prices for various types of catalysts supplied to these countries.
Chapter six of the report examines the consumption of oil refining catalysts in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of these products from 2006 to 2025, along with the consumption structure by type. It also provides a description of the Russian oil refining industry and an overview of the use of oil refining catalysts in various processes.
Chapter seven of the report examines the consumption of oil refining catalysts in other EAEU countries. This section presents the production and consumption balance of these products from 2009 to 2024, along with the consumption structure by type.
Chapter 8 describes the current status of the main consumers of oil refining catalysts in the EAEU countries (excluding Russia). The chapter provides estimates of the consumption of various types of catalysts by these enterprises. For each country, it provides information on the dynamics of oil production and refining, a balance of production, exports, and imports of individual petroleum products, and the current status of the main oil refineries with production data.
Chapter 9 provides a forecast for the development of the Russian and other EAEU countries' oil refining catalyst markets through 2035.
The appendices include a list of existing and planned units for cracking, hydrotreating, hydrocracking, reforming, isomerization, hydrodewaxing, and xylene production in Russia and other EAEU countries.
Addresses and contact information for companies producing and consuming oil refining catalysts are also provided.
Target audience of the study:
- oil refining catalyst market participants – producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study aims to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the petroleum products market.
