This review is the 16th edition of the study of the technical salt (sodium chloride) market in Russia and the EAEU countries.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the table salt market in Russia and the EAEU countries.
The object of the study is technical salt, as well as brine obtained by chemical and potash companies. All data on brine production volumes are given in terms of solid product.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022), official statistics on rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the Bureau of National Statistics of the ASPR RK, the State Statistics Committees of the EAEU and CIS countries; data from the UNdata database; the SBIS database; industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, as well as websites of table salt manufacturers.
A distinctive feature of this study is a detailed description of the technical table salt market in Russia (including brines). It also provides a brief description of the global market and the markets of the EAEU countries.
The chronological framework of the study: 2012-2024; forecast - 2025-2035.
The geography of the study: the Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, the EAEU countries and the world - a brief retrospective analysis.
The review consists of 10 parts, contains 103 pages, including 44 tables, 24 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter provides a brief description of the global table salt market in 2018-2024.
The second chapter presents the largest deposits of table salt in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries as of 01.01.2024.
The third chapter presents the qualitative characteristics of technical salt in the EAEU/CIS countries.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the extraction and production of technical table salt in the EAEU/CIS and Russia in 2008-2024.
The fifth chapter describes the main Russian companies producing technical salt.
The sixth chapter of the review describes foreign trade operations with technical table salt in Russia for the period 2012-2024. It provides statistical data on the volume of foreign trade operations, the regional structure of exports and imports of technical sodium chloride.
The seventh chapter presents a price analysis of the Russian technical salt market, including prices depending on the purpose of the product under study, and export-import prices in 2012-2024.
The eighth chapter presents the production-consumption balance of technical salt in the Russian Federation in 2012-2024, considers the structure of consumption, and describes the main industries consuming the product under study.
The ninth chapter is devoted to the technical salt market in other EAEU countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) in 2008-2024. The volumes of salt production, production and consumption of technical salt are presented, and the structure of consumption of technical salt is given. The tenth chapter provides a forecast for the development of the technical table salt market in the Russian Federation/EAEU for the period up to 2030-2035.
The appendices provide a list of enterprises engaged in salt mining in the EAEU countries, and a map of the location of the largest table salt deposits in the EAEU/CIS.
The target audience of the study:
- participants in the table salt market - producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists working in the table salt market.
