This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the 3rd edition of a survey of the copper scrap market in Russia.

The purpose of the research is to analyze the copper scrap market.

The object of research is secondary copper-containing raw materials (scrap copper and its alloys).

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation), data from customs statistics and statistics of railway traffic, the UNdata database, the Agency on Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

Also, data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of enterprises-producers (procurers) and enterprises-consumers of copper scrap were involved; the "InfoMine" database was used; conference materials.

The main chronological framework of the study: 2004-2020. (selected data from 1995); forecast - until 2030

Geography of research: Russia, CIS countries.

Research volume: the report consists of 10 parts, contains 86 pages, including 30 tables, 29 figures, 1 appendix.

The first chapter presents the classification and quality requirements for copper scrap.

In the second chapter, the main sources of the formation of copper scrap and the volume of formation in the Russian Federation are considered. Also in this chapter, the structure of the collected copper scrap by type in the Russian Federation (refined copper scrap, copper alloy scrap, copper-containing sludge and slag, etc.) is assessed.

In the third chapter, an analysis of the use of copper scrap in Russia is given, the corresponding statistics are given, and the distribution of consumption volumes by regions is given.

The fourth chapter provides a description of the key producers / procurers of copper scrap in the Russian Federation.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the analysis of Russia's foreign trade operations with copper scrap in 1995-2020, 1 half of 2021. Information on the directions of supplies, the main exporters and importers of copper scrap is presented.

The sixth chapter examines the pricing of copper scrap at various stages in the supply chain, in the production of cathodes and wire rod.

The seventh chapter is devoted to the description of the current consumers of copper scrap in the Russian Federation (producers of copper, rolled copper, copper wire rod), and also shows the prospects for the emergence of new players.

In the eighth chapter, an estimated structure of copper production in the Russian Federation is given by sources of raw materials (primary and secondary / scrap in general and by major enterprises).

The ninth chapter describes the trade flows of copper scrap in the CIS countries (Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, the Baltic countries of the former USSR), presents the main consumer companies of copper scrap in these countries.

The final, tenth chapter of the review provides a forecast of the development of the copper scrap market until 2030.

The appendix contains the addresses and contact information of the main participants in the copper scrap market in Russia.

Target audience of the study:

- market participants of secondary non-ferrous metals - producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed research claims to be a reference manual for marketing services and specialists making management decisions working in the secondary non-ferrous metals market.
