This review is based on the results of a study of the Russian market of chemical raw materials for the production of biodegradable polymers.
The market has been monitored since 2015.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the Russian market of chemical raw materials for the production of biopolymers.
The objects of research are various raw materials of chemical origin and their prices.
This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from Rosstat, customs statistics of the Russian Federation, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, industry and regional press, web sites of producers of raw materials, data from tender web sites.
Chronological scope of the study: 2015-2019.
Geography of research: Russian Federation.
The review consists of 9 parts, contains 59 pages, including 19 tables, 21 figures and 1 annex.
The first chapter of the review is devoted to the analysis of the Russian market of succinic acid. The chapter presents data on the dynamics of imports of the reagent to the Russian market, considers the geographical structure of imports of succinic acid. Also, this section contains information on the dynamics of average annual import prices, and prices for various brands of chemical by major manufacturers.
The second chapter describes the Russian market for succinic anhydride. The chapter contains data on the dynamics of imports of the chemical to Russia, considers the geographical structure of imports of succinic anhydride, data on the dynamics of average annual import prices, and prices for various brands of reagent.
The third chapter of the review presents an analysis of the Russian maleic anhydride market. The section presents data on industrial methods for producing maleic anhydride, on the industries that consume the reagent. The information on projects of creation of maleic anhydride production facilities in the Russian Federation is given. The chapter contains data on the dynamics of imports of the chemical to Russia, considers the geographical structure of imports of succinic anhydride, data on the dynamics of average annual import prices, and prices for various brands of reagent. The information on tender purchases of maleic anhydride by Russian consumers (volumes, prices) is also provided.
The fourth chapter contains a description of the Russian market for 1,4-butanediol. The chapter describes methods for the industrial production of 1,4-butanediol. The section contains data on the dynamics of imports of this reagent to Russia, considers the geographical structure of imports, provides data on the dynamics of average annual import prices, and prices for various brands of reagent. The information on tender purchases of 1,4-butanediol by Russian consumers (volumes, prices) is also provided.
The fifth chapter describes the Russian terephthalic acid market. The chapter contains data on the dynamics of the Russian production of the reagent. The dynamics of foreign trade operations and average annual import and export prices for terephthalic acid are also considered. The geographic structure of imports is presented, data on prices for various brands of imported reagent are presented. The section includes descriptions of producers and new projects for the production of terephthalic acid.
Chapter six contains information about the Russian market for terephthalic acid dimethyl ester. The structure of imports by suppliers is considered. The dynamics of supplies and average annual import prices for the reagent is presented. Prices for various brands of dimethyl terephthalate are given.
The seventh chapter is devoted to the analysis of the market for carbon dioxide and its liquid modification - carbon dioxide in Russia. The chapter contains data on the dynamics of Russian production and the regional structure of production capacities. The section provides a description of the main Russian producers of carbon dioxide. The section also discusses the dynamics of average prices of Russian manufacturers for this reagent. The data on tender supplies of carbon dioxide (volumes, prices) are given.
The eighth chapter is devoted to the description of the state of the Russian propylene dioxide market. The chapter provides information on the main technologies for the industrial synthesis of the reagent, a description of Russian producers of propylene dioxide and their capacities is given. The data on the dynamics of production and import of propylene dioxide in the Russian Federation are presented. The geographic structure of Russian imports of propylene dioxide is analyzed, the average annual import prices, as well as prices for various brands of reagent, are given.
The ninth chapter provides data on the Russian adipic acid market. The chapter lists the technologies for obtaining the reagent, describes Russian projects to create the production of adipic acid. The geographical structure, dynamics of import supplies and average annual import prices for adipic acid are analyzed. Prices for different brands of reagent are presented.
The appendix provides contact information for Russian enterprises producing chemical raw materials for biopolymers at the present time and in the future.
