This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report focuses on the investigation of the current condition of the cement market in the CIS and forecast of its development up to 2015. The report includes 7 Chapters, contains 229 pages, including 71 tables, 48 figures and 2 Appendices.
In the first chapter, the report provides a brief description of the global cement market during the period 2000-2010, as well as its development prospects.
The second chapter assesses the condition of raw materials of cement industry in the CIS. It presents data on reserves of cement raw materials, regional pattern of their distribution, as well as information about the resource base of the leading producers of cement.
The third chapter is devoted to the production of cement in the CIS. This section provides statistics of the production in 2000-2010, data on regional and commodity structure of the production, seasonality of the production, as well as on the volumes of cement production by individual enterprises. Also this chapter examines the current position of the leading players in the cement market of CIS, including data on available production capacity, product range, business development plans, directions and volumes of supplies of cement.
In the fourth chapter of the report we have analyzed data of customs statistics on foreign trade in cement in CIS countries. The information about the regional structure of export-import supplies of the main exporters and importers of cement is presented here.
The fifth chapter is devoted to the analysis of price conjuncture of the cement market in the CIS. In this section, the dynamics of prices on cement in the domestic market of the Russian Federation in recent years is shown, and an overview of the export-import prices in the CIS is presented.
The sixth chapter of the report is devoted to the consumption of cement. Basing on supply-demand balance of the product in the CIS over the past 9 years, we estimated the dynamics of apparent consumption of cement. Also this section shows structure of the consumption; besides, the situational analysis of the construction industry in the CIS and its development prospects is given.
The seventh chapter presents forecast of development of Russian cement market up to 2020 and the cement market in the CIS as a whole up to 2015.
In Appendices, contact information on producers of cement in the CIS, as well as the existing classification of cements and requirements, imposed on cements by state standards, is given.
This work is a desk study. As information sources, data from the Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of Russia, official statistics of domestic rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the CIS Inter-State Statistics Committee (rates of production), SCC of Ukraine (data on foreign trade operations), the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, the Committees on Statistics of other CIS countries are used. Also, databases of the UN, the U.S. Geological Survey were used, as well as regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, web-sites of enterprises, information databases of enterprises, the own InfoMine database. Due to the fact that in Russia, freight motor traffic is not subject to mandatory statistical accounting, the report contains data on rail freight traffic only (railage of resources and products).
