This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the twenty-second edition of a study of the petroleum coke market in Russia and the CIS.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the petroleum coke market in the CIS.

The object of research is petroleum coke (raw and calcined).

The presented work is a desk study. Databases of the UN (UNdata), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Agency for Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation were used as sources of information; materials of the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of enterprises-producers and consumers of petroleum coke, as well as the "InfoMine" database.

In addition, some of the data was confirmed and refined by telephone interviews with specialists from the enterprises considered in this report.

All this allowed the experts to reveal the picture of the petroleum coke market in the CIS and the prospects for its development.

A distinctive feature of this study is a detailed description of the largest manufacturers and consumers of the products in question in Russia and the CIS countries (including Ukraine), the directions of supply of raw materials, the volumes and directions of sales of raw and calcined braid. The structure of consumption of petroleum coke by industries and largest consumer enterprises is considered in detail, a characteristic of the current state and development prospects of the main consuming industries is given. The forecasts of prices, production and consumption of petroleum coke are presented, the largest projects for expanding production capacities are presented.

Chronological scope of the study: 1996-2019 and 1 half of 2020; forecast for the period up to 2030

Research geography: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries - general retrospective market analysis.

The report consists of 6 Sections, contains 172 pages, including 42 Figures, 81 Tables and 2 Appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides information on the raw materials required for the production of petroleum coke, its characteristics, and directions of supplies. Also in this chapter the technology of coke production is considered in detail, the quality indicators of the products obtained are given.

The second chapter is devoted to the production of petroleum coke (raw and calcined) in the CIS countries. The section provides statistical and estimated data on the volume of coke production in Russia and the CIS countries. All enterprises producing petroleum coke in Russia and the CIS, the current situation at these plants and development prospects are described in detail.

The third chapter provides data on foreign trade operations with petroleum coke in Russia and the CIS.

The fourth chapter provides information on producer prices on the Russian market. In addition, data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia and Ukraine were analyzed. And also in this chapter a price forecast for the period up to 2030 is given.

The fifth chapter examines the consumption of petroleum coke. The balance of production and consumption of these products in the Russian Federation and Ukraine is given, the sectoral structure of coke consumption in the Russian Federation is given, the main consumers of the Russian Federation and the CIS are presented, their current state and development prospects are analyzed.

The sixth chapter provides a forecast of the development of the Russian petroleum coke market for the period up to 2030.

The appendices give the addresses and contact information of enterprises producing and consuming petroleum coke in the CIS countries.

Target audience of the study:

- participants of the petroleum coke market - producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing services and decision-makers working in the petroleum coke market.
