This report is the twelfth edition of the study of the sulfuric acid and oleum market in the CIS countries.

Market monitoring has been conducted since 2002.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the Russian and CIS markets for sulfuric acid.

The object of study is sulfuric acid and oleum.

A distinctive feature of this study is the inclusion in the objects of study, in addition to sulfuric acid (monohydrate, spent sulfuric acid), also oleum (production and supply volumes by manufacturers). The sources of the used raw materials are characterized in sufficient detail, as well as the directions and volumes of its supplies.

In addition, the review contains detailed information on the sulfuric acid market of all CIS countries (including Ukraine), whose contribution to the total output of the products in question in the post-Soviet space is very tangible. A brief description of the world market is also given.

This work is a desk study. As sources of information, the databases of the UN (UNdata), the Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Agency on Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation were used; materials of industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, websites of enterprises-producers and consumers of sulfuric acid, as well as the Infomine database.

Timeline of the study: 1994-2022; forecast - 2023-2030

Research geography: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Belarus and other CIS countries - a general retrospective analysis of the market, the world market - a brief analysis.

The report consists of 8 parts, contains 122 pages, including 46 tables, 27 figures and 3 appendices.

The first chapter of the report provides a brief analysis of the global sulfuric acid market.

The second chapter provides information on the methods of obtaining sulfuric acid and the raw materials used in industry, considers the directions and volumes of supplies of raw materials to sulfuric acid producers.

The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of H2SO4 production for the period 1994-2022. in the CIS. The section provides data on production volumes, traces the dynamics of the output of these products by enterprises in Russia and Kazakhstan, and considers the current state of the main producers of sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation. Data on the available raw material base, production volumes, plans for the development of enterprises, as well as data on the volumes and directions of product supplies in recent years are given.

The fourth chapter deals with foreign trade operations with sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation and other CIS countries with an analysis of the volumes and directions of export-import deliveries.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the consideration of the dynamics of prices for sulfuric acid in the domestic Russian and foreign markets of the Russian Federation and other CIS countries.

The sixth chapter of the report deals with the consumption of sulfuric acid. In this section, the balance of production in the Russian Federation and other CIS countries and the structure of consumption of these products in Russia are compiled, the main areas of application and the main consumers of sulfuric acid are considered, and methods for utilizing excess sulfuric acid are described.

In the seventh chapter, some aspects of the transportation of sulfuric acid to the Russian Federation are considered.

The eighth chapter provides a forecast for the production and prices of sulfuric acid in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030.

The appendices contain the addresses and contact information of the main enterprises-producers and consumers of sulfuric acid, as well as the in-plant consumption of sulfuric acid by manufacturers.

Target audience of the study:

- participants in the sulfuric acid market - producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study purports to be a reference tool for marketing and decision makers working in the sulfuric acid market.
